A Message from Lake County Health Commissioner Ron H. Graham

April 2, 2020

As anticipated, COVID-19 is spreading within our community.  As of April 2, there are 62 confirmed cases of COVID-19 amongst Lake County residents, although we assume the actual number of those infected is likely much higher.  Ohio Department of Health Director Dr. Amy Acton has extended the Stay at Home Order until 11:59 a.m. on May 1, and it is up to all of us to do our part by practicing social-distancing and limiting our trips outside.  We understand the significant burden this places on our community, but know that our efforts are working to both “flatten the curve”, but also allow more time for our healthcare system to prepare for the expected increase in their facilities.

LCGHD continues to work with our partners at Ohio Department of Health, Centers for Disease Control, our hospital systems, and our state, county, and local elected officials to make sure our communities are safe and prepared.  We will be continue to be as responsive as possible, and encourage you to contact us with your COVID-19 questions at (440) 350-2188, or COVID19@lcghd.org. You can also visit our website at www.lcghd.org for the latest information.  Stay safe!
