Cafeteria News for the upcoming 2022-2023 School Year

Mentor will not have a summer feeding program this year following USDA Guidelines.


Beginning 2022-2023 school year, students will NO longer receive breakfast or lunch at NO cost unless the student qualifies for a free or reduced price meals.  Your student must be eligible for a free or reduced meal plan either through direct certification or a completed free or reduced meal application. Student lunches will be as follows:

$3.25 - Elementary Lunch
$2.00 - Elementary Breakfast
$0.40 - Reduced Lunch (with proper completed paperwork)
$0.30 - Reduced Breakfast (with proper completed paperwork)

The meal applications will be available on the website after July 1, 2022.  The electronic copy is the most efficient way to apply which will be available on the website or Parent Portal.  If you need a paper copy please contact Nutrition Services at 440-974-5227. If your student was previously eligible either by direct certification or application, that status carries over for the first 30 days of the new school year.



FREE & REDUCED LUNCH APPLICATION - There is no need to complete an application if you have already received a letter from School Nutrition Services for this school year.  To complete a Free & Reduced Application online:

  • Log into the Parent Portal
  • Click on More (bottom left column)
  • Choose Meal Benefits
  • Create a PIN and enter portal password
  • Complete the application by following the instructions on each tab
  • You will be notified of your eligibility by mail
  • Paper applications will still be accepted.  They are available at the Board Office, Service Building, School Buildings and on our Mentor Schools website.

Online Payment Method for Mentor Schools

You may put money on your child’s meal account through the Parent Portal.  Log into the Parent Portal, click on FOOD SERVICE in the left column.  You are now able to add money to your child’s account.

Parents and guardians can use their Parent Portal accounts to conveniently log on and view individual or family meal account balances, sign up to receive low balance e-mail notifications, and view daily meal purchases in real time.

The Infinite Campus Online Payment system is a payment processing solution that allows you to submit food service payments 24/7 via the Parent Portal. Payments can be made for one child or the entire household.

For those who do not use online payments, checks or cash will continue to be accepted at the individual school buildings or the Board Office. Credit card payments will only be accepted through the online payment system.
