It is hard to believe that this school year is almost over! It was great to see the WeCare kids grow over the year, whether it was just getting taller, or seeing personal growth with getting along with others or making new friends! The WeCare staff hopes that everyone has a safe, fun summer. We also wish our current 5th Graders much success in middle school. We have known some of you for six years (KG - 5) and know that you will be awesome!
Before the year wraps up, there is some business that needs to be taken care of. We need parents to make sure that timely payments are made to WeCare accounts. WeCare is self-funded. Please keep a positive balance in your child's account. I understand that you may not want to make a large payment near the end of the school year, but please know that any money in the account at the end of this school year transfers to next school year. In order to register for WeCare for next school year, your child's account cannot be negative.
WeCare registration for the 2026-2027 school year begins June 1 online. At that time, you will have to pay only the $35 registration fee. Then an invoice will be added to the account to get the balance to $100. The cost of WeCare is staying the same at $5 per hour.
To the parents of 5th Graders, next year, there is no WeCare in the middle school. Within the next week, I will be sending home with your child a WeCare Balance Refund and Transfer form. If there is money left in your child's account, you can request a refund or have it transferred to a food account or use it for fees. This form will need to be returned to WeCare at Ridge so it can be sent to the WeCare director.
To any parent that has used WeCare services this year and no longer needs WeCare services next year, please let Ms. Mack know so she can get a Refund/Transfer Form to you.
