Coats for Cards

Dear Mentor Schools Families and Staff,

We saw our first snow last week, and that means it's Coats for Cards season! The annual Coats for Cards drive aims to ensure that every Mentor Schools student has a coat, hat, and gloves for the winter. We do this by asking those who are able to help to donate needed items. Then, we use those donations to fill orders for winter wear for students in need. Since we started, Coats for Cards has distributed well over 200 coats!

If you'd like to DONATE to Coats for Cards, please drop off new or gently-used coats (kids and adult sizes are needed), new hats, or new gloves at one of the locations listed on the flyer attached here, now through December 15th. All donations will be collected, organized, and distributed to students and their families through the Mentor Schools Family Resource Center.

If you'd prefer to make a monetary donation, please make checks payable to the Mentor Board of Education, with "Family Resource Center" in the note/memo section. These financial gifts help support Mentor Schools families year-round with essentials like clothing, food, and personal care items.

TO ORDER A COAT AND/OR OTHER WINTER ITEMS for your child, please complete THIS FORM. If you have more than one child, please complete one form for each. If you have any trouble, please contact the Mentor Schools Family Resource Center at [email protected] or (440) 974-5359. We will provide the items you request as soon as possible, based on donations we receive throughout the Coats for Cards drive. While we cannot guarantee all requests will be fulfilled, we will make every effort to support each family.

Please see the attached flyer for additional information about Coats for Cards. If you have any questions about the program, please reach out to Tricia Zeedrich, our district's Family Support and Engagement Coordinator. She can be reached at [email protected] or (440) 974-5359.

Thank you, and please take good care!
